Time4popcorn – Unofficial Popcorn Time
A resilient fork that has outlasted shutdowns and continues to evolve
Time4popcorn is one of the major Popcorn Time variants that emerged after the original site closed down. Despite being shut down multiple times, it has proven remarkably resilient — growing into a feature-rich service connected to the Popcorn Time Online and Torrents Time projects.
Time4popcorn Features
Time4popcorn delivers the core Popcorn Time experience: streaming movies and TV shows via torrents with a polished, user-friendly interface. Over time it has added features that extend beyond the basics, making it one of the more ambitious forks in the ecosystem. The team behind it has continued to release updates for both desktop and Android, keeping the app functional even as other forks have gone quiet.
As with any torrent-based streaming tool, users should consider their security. The site recommends Malwarebytes Anti-Malware for protection, and using a VPN is widely advised to maintain anonymity while streaming.
Popcorn Time Online and Torrents Time
Time4popcorn is closely tied to two related projects: Popcorn Time Online and Torrents Time. Popcorn Time Online is a browser-based version developed by the Time4popcorn team that streams torrents directly through a web browser — no separate app installation needed. It relies on the Torrents Time browser extension to function.
Torrents Time itself exists in two competing versions (V1.0 and V2.0), developed by different groups. Serious security concerns were identified with Torrents Time V1.0, so users should exercise caution and stay informed about which version they are using.
Time4popcorn Website
Time4popcorn maintains its own web presence where users can find the latest downloads and information. The project has also been associated with domains such as getpopcorntime.co.uk and popcorn-time.ca. For community updates, you can follow along on Facebook and Google+.
Time4popcorn's longevity is notable in a landscape where Popcorn Time forks have frequently appeared and disappeared. Its ability to adapt and keep delivering a working streaming experience has earned it a dedicated user base.
